It has been a month since I left Home of Charity at Camillian Social Center Chiang Rai. I do not really want to give any feedbacks or comments because it makes me feel like I am saying goodbye. I have already missed everyone there, especially the children.

Before I volunteered at Home of Charity, I knew about disabled people, but never really been aware of them as a ‘person’ or ‘individual.’ I have been living in Thailand for all my life, and more than three years now in the Middle East, but wherever I am, it seems to me that they are invisible, and that, is what makes me feel sad.

If there is anything I want to share the most, with everyone, from my experience there with the children at the Home of Charity, I wish you to know that people with disabilities are the same with us all. It is not only just about living the life in general, but also the chance to live the life the best they can. Please treat them equally. Moreover, if you have the opportunity to take part and help their lives to be better, please consider and help ‘each’ of them as the ‘individual’ from who he or she really is. As in the end, though with the similarity we all share, each person has the right to choose what he or she wants for his or her own life, and what is best for him or her.

I wish all the children a better future - the future of their desires. I also wish everyone else in the Center - Fathers, Sisters, teachers, caretakers, the rest of the staff, and the disadvantaged children, all the best. Thank you all in Camillian Social Center Chiang Rai for everything, and most importantly, for being one of the life-changing experiences of my life. You guys will be a part of me forever, and Home of Charity will always be the place I will go back every time I visit Chiang Rai. I hope to see everyone again in the near future, though I know that each has his or her own way and that I might not see some of you again. However, does not matter what will happen, I wish you all the luck in the world. God bless you all.
